Who we are

The Kingman Youth Football League was established in 1973.

Through the years the league has had an array of board members, presidents, coaches, and volunteers. However, the spirit and goal has NEVER changed… KYFL is for the children in Kingman.

KYFL prides itself not just being a non-profit, but staying local and affordable, because not all families, parents, or children can afford the hefty fees that come with traveling. Not to mention for alot of families… traveling is not an option due to an array of reasons… so we stay local for that reason!

The Kingman Youth Football League believes that every child deserves the opportunity to play a sport that provides them with the needed discipline and lessons that can/will last a lifetime.

KYFL would not have the foundation the league has… without Nicole Sullivan and Manuel Lopez. In memoriam we recognize the passion and love they dedicated to not just cheer and football but also to this league.

Every year KYFL is honored to have the families of Nicole Sullivan and Manuel Lopez come and meet each team. Throughout the season every Head Coach looks for the participant(s) who show Teamwork, Sportsmanship, Dedication, Kindness, etc., and nominate that one participant who shows that true spirit for the Nicole Sullivan Award (Cheer) and the Manuel Lopez Award (Football).

Each participant chosen by the Manuel Lopez and Nicole Sullivan families, have shown in one way or another that they carry on and keep their spirits alive by being more than just a cheerleader or football player but by striving to make those around them feel heard, respected, and work hard.

We cannot thank the families of Nicole or Manuel enough for allowing this league to recognize Nicole and Manuel but taking the time as well to still supporting the youth in Kingman and support the Kingman Youth Football League!

FAQs

  • MINIMUM AGE: A child must at least be the following age(s) to begin KYFL for the current season of application.

    Mascot- 5 years of age

    Cheerleader-8 years of age

    Football-8 years of age

    No players (Cheer or Football) can turn 13 years of age before or during the season. They CANNOT turn 13 years of age before or on the date of the last game for the season.

  • This can vary from season to season. But, usually our season will start in the beginning of August and will end Mid to Late November.

  • All complaints are heard and evaluated by the board. You can book a meeting with one of the board members on the “Contact Us” or “Meet the Team” pages.

    You can also reach the board by messaging the league on Facebook, Instagram, and/or TikTok.

    The board is also at EVERY game and practice.

The Kingman Youth Football League was founded in Kingman for Kingman! Since 1973 the goal for KYFL was to keep the youth in Kingman engaged in a sport that helps build strong foundations, allows kids to make long lasting friendships, and keeps them active!

We are a NO Travel League.

This means parents/guardians do not have to worry about travel fees, taking time out of busy schedules to plan trips out of town, state or even country. Which means KYFL is able to keep its Sign Up fees reasonable for ALL families and kids.
